The Norwood Sporting Club was initially formed in 1991 in association with the Norwood Football Club and Norwood Cricket Club. Since that time the Club has undergone major redevelopments and now also includes the Norwood Social Golf Club, the Norwood Football Netball Club, the Norsemen – FC Past Players & Officials and the Norwood Angling Club.
The venue itself was completely rebuilt in 2015, reopening in April 2016 with a purpose built gym, media room, two function spaces, kitchen, bar and restaurant facilities. The restaurant and main function space contains large windows that give a spectacular view of the oval and surrounding area.
The club is available for conferences, meetings and social functions throughout the year, holding up to 200 people for a cocktail event and 150 seated. Norwood Sporting Club also hosts U3A in its facilities throughout the school terms.
